Things you can do in NYC - I love NYC part2

Hola ¿recuerdan mi viaje a NY? pues continúo contándoles un poco de los lugares que visité y las cosas que hice, esta es la segunda parte de mis aventuras por NYC. Arte, buena comida , lugares con onda,en fin parte de todo lo bueno que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer.
Día 2
Como amante del arte desde que supe que tenía que ir a Nueva York busqué proyectos de arte urbano para visitar, espacios de creación y exhibición más cercanos a la gente creando una ciudad más viva y que sea un lugar funcional y cultural a la vez. Haciendo mis investigaciones encontré este proyecto Audubun Mural Project en Harlem.
El Proyecto de Murales Audubon es una colaboración entre la Sociedad Nacional Audubon y la Galería the Gilter and Gallery para crear murales de aves amenazadas por el clima a lo largo del antiguo barrio de Manhattan de John James Audubon. Los murales son visualmente impresionante, y crean una galería de aves al aire libre. Más adelante haré otra entrada contándoles más de este proyecto. ¡Yo quedé fascinada se los recomiendo! Los murales se encuentran entre las calles 139 y 163 en Harlem. Mapa aquí.

Caminando por Harlem nos encontramos con este pequeño lugar que me encantó y les comparto, almorzamos en The Edge un pequeño restaurante local en el corazón del barrio, con cocina casual y una combinación de sabores de Jamaica, Inglaterra y un poco de actitud neuyorkina, 100% recomendado.
Continué mi paseo del día por el Hight Line park ¡otro rincón que amé! un parque urbano elevado construido sobre una antigua línea de ferrocarril. Tiene más de 2 kilómetros de longitud y recorre desde Gansevoort Street hasta la calle 34 de la parte oeste de Nueva York. Durante todo el recorrido el parque High Line está repleto de bancos para sentarse o tumbarse, naturaleza, arte y hermosas vistas de la ciudad. Definitivamente un paseo inolvidable. El equipo de diseño al frente del proyecto es James Corner Field Operations.

Day 2
As good Art lover since I knew I had to
go to New York I looked for urban art projects to visit, and creative spaces more
closest to people, creating a living city and make it a functional and cultural
place at the same time. Doing my research I found the Audubun Mural Project in
Harlem.
The Audubon Mural Project is a
collaboration between the National Audubon Society and the Gilter and Gallery
to créate murals of climatethearened birds throughout John James Audubon’s old
Manhattan neighborhood. The murals are visually stunning, so if you like art
and nature you should go and visit “Where the birds meet art… after dark.”
Later I will make another entry telling you
more about this project. I was fascinated, i recommend it! The murals are
between 139 and 163 streets in Harlem.
Walking through Harlem we came across with
this little place that I loved and I want to share it, we had lunch at The Edge
a small local eatery in the heart of the neighborhood, casual cuisine and a combination
of flavors of Jamaica and England with a Little NY attitude, 100 % recommended.
Latter i continued my walk on the High
Line park another spot I loved! a large urban park built on a former railway
line. It has more than 2 kilometers long and runs from Gansevoort Street to
34th Street on the west side of New York. Throughout the trail the park is full
of benches to sit or lie down, nature, art and beautiful views of the city.
Definitely an unforgettable ride. The design team behind the project is James
Corner Field Operations.
