Tumblr) este Calendario de Adviento para que hagas el conteo conmigo. Decidí
(por supuesto) hacerlo con el calendario Lunar del mes de diciembre, espero
que te guste tanto como a mi.
No creo que haya mejor momento que la Navidad para practicar la
amabilidad, la bondad y la compasión, así que llené este calendario con actos
de bondad al azar para cada día. Estaría encantada si hacen un esfuerzo y ponen
en práctica estos actos. El mundo necesita mas generosidad, lo podemos
intentar.

The countdown till Christmas it's on, so I made with the help of my lovely sister Francina (BTW you should check her Tumblr) this Advent Calendar to do the countdown with me. I decided (of course) to make it with the lunar calendar of december, I hope you love it as much as i do.
There’s no better time then Christmas to practice kindness and compassion, that’s why I filled this calendar with random acts of kindness for each day until Christmas. I will be thrilled if you made an effort to put in to practice these acts. The world needs more generosity, we can try.

Como se habrán podido dar cuenta en un par de post anteriores ¡soy amente de la luna! Así que no podía perderme el último eclipse total de super luna y luna roja del 27 de septiembre 2015, el próximo será en el 2033.

Tengo la suerte de vivir en el Caribe y poder ver el eclipse completo de principio a fin y no puedo estar más feliz. Me senté en mi balcón con cámara en mano y a pesar de que justo cuando se puso naranja se le agotaron las baterías a mi cámara pude tomarle por lo menos una foto. Aquí les comparto algunas.

As you can see in a couple of previous posts I am seriously a moonlover! So I couldn't miss the super blood moon total eclipse on September 27, 2015, the next one will be in 2033.
This lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes into Earth's shadow. First the moon darkened slightly under the shadow of the Earth, then the shadow begins in the "cover" area of the Moon giving it that dark red-brown color and the moon looks reddish or orange.

The name "Blood Moon" is not identified as an official astronomical term; it comes from hunters chasing and killing their prey under the light of the autumn moon.
I am lucky to live in the Caribbean so I could see the full eclipse from beginning to end and I couldn't be happier. I sat on my balcony with my camera in hand, although just when the moon got orange my batteries died but I could take at least one photo. Here I'm sharing some of them.

¿Qué es una fiesta de cumpleaños sin una piñata? al menos era así cuando yo era una niña, así que decidí
hacer esta “DIY” piñata en forma de luna para celebrar mi cumpleaños y recordar
los viejos tiempos. Vi una foto en Pinterest y dije tengo que probar, porque
amo la luna, soy una chica de la luna.
Necesitarás:
- Cartón corrugado
- Lápiz o marcador
- Cinta adhesiva
- Tijeras
- cuchilla
- pegamento
- Cuerda o hilo
- 2 rollos de papel crepé (yo usé blanca pero puedes usar cualquier color que desees)
Instrucciones:
- Trazar y cortar dos piezas en forma de luna creciente. Y luego cortar dos tiras de 2,5 pulgadas de ancho.
- Iniciar pegando de uno de los lados de la luna creciente a una de las tiras con pedazos de cinta adhesiva. Cuando termines continúa con el otro lado.
- Luego puedes poner el relleno y terminar de cerrar.
- Utilice una cuchilla para hacer un pequeño agujero en ambos lados de la luna y enhebrar un hilo a través de los dos agujeros y atar un nudo, asegura los agujeros con cinta adhesiva alrededor de ella para que no se rasgue. Esto es lo que vas a utilizar para colgarla.
- Cortar el papel crepé espaciado 1,5 pulgadas a partir de la parte inferior, tomar estas piezas y hacer recortes a ¾ de la parte superior de cada uno.
- Empezando por la parte inferior pegar las tiras de papel crepé a la luna de cartón y continúe pegando capas asegurándose de solaparlas. Continúe hasta que todo esté cubierto.
Luego sólo hay que colgarla a un palo y a disfrutar . Si tienes
niños o como yo que tengo ahijad@s y sibrin@s es un “DIY” fabuloso para hacer
con ellos. ¡Me encanta! Amé este "DIY" porque además de que lo hice
para mi cumpleaños es una luna (la cual amo).

What’s a birthday party without a piñata? at least that’s how it was when i was a little girl, so i decided to do this DIY moon piñata to celebrate my birthday and remember the good old days. I saw a photo of it on Pinterest and i have to try it because i love the moon, i’m a moon girl.
You will need:
- Corrugated cardboard
- Pencil or marker
- Tape
- Scissors
- Blade
- Glue
- String
- 2 rolls of crepe paper (i use White but you can use whatever color you want)
Directions:
- Trace and cut two crescent moon shapes. And cut two strips of 2.5 inches wide.
- Start taping one of the crescent moon sides to one of the strips. When you finish the first side tape the other one.
- Then you can putt he goodies filling.
- Use a blade to make a little hole in both sides of the moon and thread a string through both holes and tie a knot, secure the holes with tape around it so it doesn’t rip. This is what you will use to hang it.
- Cut your crepe paper spacing 1.5 inches starting from fringe of the bottom, take this pieces and make cuts to ¾ of to the top of each one.
- Starting from the bottom, glue the strips of crepe paper to the cardboard moon and contenue gluing layers making sure to overlap them. Continue until it is all covered.
Then you just have to attach it to a stick and enjoy! I loved it not only because I made it for my birthday but because it is a moon (which I love).
