This year I wanted a change for my Christmas Table Setting and decided on a Nutcracker Christmas table.  This table setting allows for some creative arrangements and a lot of fun. Being a dancer, I had never chosen this theme, Ironic right?

I decided to use blue and gold chargers and added a vintage white, gold and plaid dinner set, and gold flatware.  Each place setting was topped with a nutcracker cracker and beautiful stationery designed by my sister Francina for La Lilú.

My table centrepiece was made with different size nutcrackers, Christmas balls and jingles bells. You can download the stationery HERE.

A ponerse creativas.

If you follow me on social media, you may already know that I am concerned about the environment and that I love reusing and giving new life to different objects, so this time it will not be the exception, in April we celebrate World Dance Day, Earth Day and Creativity and Innovation Day so is the best occasion for this DIY that I wanted to do for so long.

I was a ballet dancer for a large part of my life and the truth is that dancers generate a lot of waste, the pointe shoes for example depending on the dancer can last one, two or three months of use after that we throw them away generating lots of garbage.

Today I bring to you an idea so we can give a new life to used ballet point shoes: Decorate and transform them representing each of the Classics ballets in which you have participated or perhaps your favourites ones, you can make a wall in your room with the collection or maybe use them as decorations for the Christmas tree.

We will need:

Ribbons

paper flowers

Spray paint

Decorative stones

Hot silicon

And any other element that can help.

You just have to start decorating the shoes with colours and ribbons according to the ballets that we are going to represent and that's it. Get creative!

Here I made one of "The Nutcracker" and another of La Bayadere.
